When to start wearing it

After a vaginal birth, most mums begin within the first few days, whenever it feels comfortable. After a C-section, it is generally advised to wait until your incision has begun to heal, usually one to two weeks, and to check with your doctor or midwife first.

How long to wear it each day

Two to three hours at a time with breaks in between, so your own muscles keep doing their work. Do not sleep in it. Many mums wear theirs through the first six to twelve weeks when core and back support matter most, though there is no fixed rule and it is never too late to start.

Pack it before baby arrives
