The over-bump panel

The panel is knitted in one continuous piece from the thigh all the way over the bump, with no join, no elastic band and no drawcord. That single-piece construction is why it stays where you put it. There is nothing at the top edge to dig in, nothing to fold over, and no seam sitting across your belly.

The panel sits high, above the fullest part of the bump, and gives a light upward lift underneath. It eases the heavy, pulling feeling at the end of a long day without any squeeze on the bump itself. Pressure is spread across the whole panel rather than concentrated in a band, which is what makes it wearable for twelve hours instead of two.

The fabric

A knitted nylon and elastane blend with four-way stretch. Nylon carries the strength and the colour, elastane carries the recovery, so the leggings snap back to shape after every wear instead of bagging at the knees and seat.

Garment weight runs from 210g in S up to 285g in XXL. That is deliberately mid-weight rather than the paper-thin knit used in most budget maternity leggings. It is the difference between opaque when you bend and see-through when you bend. Black stays black.

The knit is brushed soft on the inside, matte on the outside, with no shine and no plastic feel. Breathable enough for indoor days and school runs, warm enough for autumn and spring.

Seamless construction

No side seams. No inner leg seam ridge. Nothing to rub against your thighs when you walk, and nothing to press a line into your skin when you sit. The only finished edges are at the ankle and the top of the panel, both flat and low profile so they disappear under clothes.

The fit

True to your pre-pregnancy size. Order the size you wore before you were pregnant and let the panel do the growing. Sizing up is the single most common reason maternity leggings roll down.

Cut runs S to XXL, covering UK 8 through UK 26, with real pattern grading at every size rather than one block stretched larger.

Wear it well past the birth

The same panel that supports a bump sits comfortably over a postpartum tummy and a c-section scar line. There is no boning, no compression panel and no hardware anywhere on the garment, so there is nothing to press on healing skin. Most women wear these longer after the birth than before it.

Care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Hang to dry. Do not tumble dry, do not iron the panel, no fabric softener. Softener coats elastane and kills the recovery, which is what turns good leggings into saggy ones.
